Visum, Insurance

Hi,

I (not EU) foreigner plan to study my Masters from Sept. 08 on, but I want to move in in January.

Does my student health insurance cover this gap (if i am already enrolled)?
If not, which other options of insurance do I have (private,..)?!

Does the student Visum start in January (if I wish) or do I have to apply for a 6 months visum first?!?

it is important to know if you are going to study in austria or germany.
those adress what you posted, are in germany. so ask befor you pay, if this insurance is also avail. for austria.
